Now at a crossroads, the Majestic awaits it’s death sentence as the community that surrounds it cannot afford to revitalize the space. With boarded up windows and decaying tapestries BODYART uses this cavernous space to tell a story of light as a metaphor for the souls that once inhabited the theater in a short dance film. The hauntingly beautiful music was created by area composer/pianist Benjamin Shelton and cellist Matthew Frey with movement creation and performance from BODYART Dance Company.
