Martin Wechsler A voracious and opinionated viewer of dance worldwide, Martin Wechsler is responsible for programming more than 30 dance companies for presentation at The Joyce Theater in New York. Dance Films Association honors Martin Wechsler with the Dance in Focus award not only for his appreciation of dance which spans a broad spectrum of styles and cultures, but most particularly for his vision in supporting multi-disciplinary artists who venture into dance film, among them Gideon Obarzanek and Pontus Lidberg. For his many talents, Dance Films Association is thrilled to present Martin Wechsler with a 2013 Dance in Focus Award.

Matthew Bourne Matthew Bourne’s SWAN LAKE, with its all-male corps de ballet, was a hugely popular artistic success internationally. The acclaimed choreography blurs the boundaries between ballet and Broadway and has warranted the production over 30 awards worldwide. With his 3D production of SWAN LAKE, Bourne takes yet another step forward, exploring how the medium of 3D technology enriches our viewing of his work, even as it reaches new audiences.
