Dancing of the Gods – Weekend Celebration of Indian Dance and Culture

BEYOND GRACE –Special Dance Film Screening – Co-Sponsored with Dance Films Association
BEYOND GRACE, a documentary feature film by Sara and Urs Baur follows the travels of acclaimed dancer Vijayalakshmi and her mother, guru and dance legend Bharati Shivaji, to Southern India, as they revisit the people and places instrumental in helping to resurrect the once dormant dance form Mohiniyattam. Beyond Grace provides an intimate portrait of two women artists whose determination and grace have transgenerational consequences. The screening will be followed by a Q & A with the filmmakers and Vijayalakshmi.
